Menopausal Wellness – Ayurveda & Holistic Nutrition
timeless Ayurvedic knowledge adapted to modern science for enhanced wellness
Menopause is the beginning of a new avatar, a new You. It is a natural phase in the life of a woman marked by the cessation of periods, and significant changes in hormones and physiological processes. The onset of menopause occurs generally between ages 37-55 years. Changes always entail a shift from our comfort zone, and some measure of stress is inevitable.
Many ladies go through a lot of silent suffering during this period. Symptoms range from the occasional hot flashes, skin & vaginal dryness, weight gain, irritability, to insomnia, depression and nervous breakdown in extreme cases. Invasive chemical-based medications and expensive treatments can sometimes do more harm than good in the long run.
Having treated many women in my clinic suffering perimenopausal symptoms, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of positive adjustments to our diet, lifestyle, mental, emotional and spiritual perspectives to enjoy a pain-free menopause.
The Menopausal Wellness Program at Golden Awareness aims to help women through this challenging phase in life with positive awareness, compassion, as well as practical diet, beauty and lifestyle solutions. The wellness program is truly holistic as it covers inspirational counseling and guidance, in addition to nutrition therapy and bodyworks.
Key aspects of the Menopausal Wellness Program include:
1. Metabolic Assessment/ Customized Diet and Nutrition Solutions with written report (see page Holistic Diet & Nutrition Therapy for details). The therapeutic use of common kitchen herbs to balance hormones, calm the nervous system and harmonize metabolic processes will be rendered in a way to suit your current diet and lifestyle. This greatly reduces our dependence on medications (for depression, insomnia, etc.) and costly hormone treatments.
2. Clinical Bodyworks: Blending the best of Chinese acupressure and Ayurvedic marma therapy using specially blended warm aromatic oils, this treatment also includes the use of Tibetan Singing Bowls (Himalayan Bowls) to energize meridiens and chakras. Healing magnets are employed as adjuncts.
3. Counseling: It is only when our mind is illumined with the right awareness can we make sound choices conducive to our growth and evolution. These counseling sessions will help expand your perspective and serve to connect you to a higher sense of purpose. You will learn to cultivate energizing thoughts and emotions in a practical and enriching way, which will serve to make you fertile to manifest real health and wellness. After all, you are your best healer at the end of the day. My job is to guide you and help you connect!
“ Whoever is at one with themselves doesn’t need to undergo operations to their external features. Whoever is beautiful on the inside exudes that and will automatically be beautiful for others.” – His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
“A woman’s beauty can become a man’s weakness. Such beauties, such women are the Apsaras (celestial nymphs). The pleasure of such beauty is transient. Truly beautiful is she who is a man’s strength. Such a woman, my brother, is a Devi (goddess), worthy of respect on Earth and in the Heavens.”

Khun Duangthip, I just called to tell you that for the first time in so many years,I have slept without resorting to pills. I am more calm, feel more energy, and mydigestion is so much better…only after a few days of following your diet plan, afterattending your workshop on Menopause last month. Today, it’s been almost twomonths into your diet and lifestyle regimen. I went for my blood test. My RBC level(red blood cell), which has always been below average for the past 2 years (despitetaking all the supplements given by the doctor), is now high – well within the normalrange. I just can’t believe it myself! Thank you so much, khob khun maak maak kha!
